Join us for the 2026 African Icons charity cycling event at Summerplace Game Reserve, where purpose, adventure, and connection come together in the heart of the Waterberg.
With limited rider spots available, this exclusive weekend promises exceptional trails, breathtaking scenery, and a memorable social mountain biking experience. Riders will have access to over 160 km of routes shaped by the natural terrain of the reserve, with options suited to different riding styles and ability levels.
For 2026, participants can choose between two rider groups, the Main Group and the Milkshake Brigade, ensuring an experience that caters for both stronger riders and those looking for a more relaxed, social pace.
Guests will also have the opportunity to ride alongside an inspiring line-up of African Icons, to be revealed closer to the event, adding another unforgettable dimension to the weekend.
From the opening welcome gathering to three days of riding, hospitality, and shared experience, African Icons 2026 promises a weekend unlike any other.
Entry Fees
RIDER ENTRY FEES
This year’s rider entry fee is R10 000 and includes the following:
- Two Ciovita Cycling Jerseys
- Two Bib Shorts
- Socks
- Premium Cotton T-shirt
- Event merchandise
All Food & We offer various types of accommodation at different price points, which means the total package cost may vary. While the rider entry fee remains fixed, your choice of accommodation affects the final amount. Limited Drinks
The final package cost can be calculated as follows: Rider Fees + Guest Fees + Chosen Accommodation.
GUEST ENTRY FEES
Riders have the option to also bring a guest at an additional fee of R3500, which includes the following:
- Meals
- Welcome Gift
- Additional excursions may require extra payment
Children are welcome to attend, provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. The fee for children under 12 who accompany an adult as a guest is R2,500. Please note that, unfortunately, babysitting facilities are not available at the venue.

Dedicated to ecological preservation, Summerplace is home to the Giant Aloe marlothii, the tallest of its kind in South Africa at 9.80 meters, visible from kilometres away. With its perfect mix of adventure and natural beauty, Summerplace promises unforgettable experiences in the heart of South Africa.
